Suspect charged in Prudhomme shooting back in Saskatoon court

Myles Daniel Has was wanted by police after Saskatoon RCMP had received a report of shots fired at a home in Prudhomme.

SASKATOON – A 34-year-old man facing an attempted murder charge had an appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court May 2 and his matter was adjourned to May 16 for election.

Myles Daniel Has was wanted by police after Saskatoon RCMP had received a report of shots fired at a home in Prudhomme around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 6, 2023.

Police say that an altercation occurred between two adult men and a firearm was discharged. One man was injured and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Has allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle and RCMP issued a warrant for his arrest.

On Sept. 7, 2023, police found the abandoned vehicle near Wakaw. Four days later, Prince Albert RCMP Crime Reduction Team arrested Has at an address on Clarence Ave. in Saskatoon.

Has was charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm without a license.

Has was released on bail in late September 2023.
