Two Saskatoon men charged with assault in separate incidents

In one incident, a woman was hit with a metal pipe, say Saskatoon police.

A 42-year-old Saskatoon man and a 55-year-old Saskatoon man were arrested.

Two Saskatoon men have been charged with assault in connection to separate incidents in the 200 Block of 1st Avenue South on Monday.

On April 29, at approximately 7 a.m. Saskatoon police responded to a weapon’s call in the 200 Block of 1st Avenue South.

While on route to the call, officers received an update that a female had been hit with a metal pipe. When police arrived, they were able to obtain video footage and identify the suspect. They located and arrest the suspect a short time later.

As a result, a 42-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with court ordered conditions.

Later that day, around 5:30 p.m. police responded to a call for an intoxicated person in the 200 Block of 1st Avenue South. When police arrived, they found that security guards already had the suspect in custody. After further investigation officers learned the suspect had assaulted one of the security guards.

As a result, a 55-year-old Saskatoon man was arrested and charged with assault.
