WESTERN PRODUCER — This year’s list of winners of the AE50 awards includes Unverferth’s new Equalizer SP tracked undercarriage system.

The AE50 is an annual awards event sponsored by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. Each year judges select 50 of the most impressive recent designs on agricultural equipment, which they think represent notable advances in that field of engineering.

The Equalizer SP track uses a 50-inch wide x 128-inch long footprint for over 88 square feet (44 feet on each side) of ground contact for maximum flotation. The extra-long track design features cambering of the end wheels with 20 degrees of front-to-rear movement, nine degrees of side-to-side movement and the cambering action of the central mounting pivot.

The mid wheels can pivot up to 16 degrees from front-to-rear to further maximize ground contact over rough fields and roads. Horizontally mounted urethane springs provide added suspension, which minimizes vibration and machine fatigue.

The Equalizer SP track is available as an undercarriage option on the largest Brent double-auger grain cart models 2598 and 2098, which offer 2,500 and 2,000 bushel capacities, respectively. It’s also available on the 2,000 bushel Unverferth dual-auger model 2020.
