Council makes plans for Canora Live & Play Street Festival

This week's town council meeting included getting ready for the expected influx of visitors to the downtown area for this weekend's Live & Play Street Festival.

CANORA — Preparation for the upcoming Live & Play Street Festival on Aug. 20 in Canora was a major area of concern to town council at its regular meeting on Aug. 16.

Council authorized the temporary closure of Main Street from Railway Avenue to Eighth Avenue, and Third Avenue East from Main Street to the back lane on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Council then authorized the temporary placement of stop signs at the intersection of Railway Avenue and Main Street on Saturday, also from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
