Sheila Dmitruik of Canora wanted to show support for Ukrainians who are dealing with the horrors of the Russian invasion, so she decided to sell doughnuts and also accept donations at the Canora Senior Bonspiel to raise money for Ukrainian humanitarian aid. Dmitruik and her mother Lillian Grywacheski (pictured) made the doughnuts right from scratch and raised close to $1,200 at the bonspiel from March 8 to 10. “I was asking for $1 per doughnut, but a lot of people paid $20 for a dozen just to show their support,” said Dmitruik. “People were very nice. I wasn’t really surprised but I was very happy to see how much people wanted to help.”Sheila Dmitruik
