INVERMAY SCHOOL NEWS: Glow-in-the-dark Carnival and Quinzzees

In the new semester the Grades 11-12 students are working on building their quinzees for their new outdoor education class.

INVERMAY - Second semester is now on a roll for Grades 9-12. February is a shorter month than any of the other months, but we can still get a lot accomplished to make this month just as amazing. In the new semester the Grades 11-12 students are working on building their quinzees for their new outdoor education class. They are looking spectacular, and everybody can’t wait to see them! The glow-in-the-dark Telemiracle Carnival was on Friday, Feb. 10. The kids had so much fun playing all the unique and cool Telemiracle games, devouring the delicious floats, and checking out the burger sale. We raised over $469 just for our burger sales. Thanks for everybody coming and supporting our community. The Telemiracle sales were just as great as the burger sale we raised $2030 for our carnival. The grand total for the burger sale and Telemiracle was $2499.13. Way to go Invermay School and community! The Student Representative Council planned a very fun noon hour game for the whole school to play on Valentine’s Day. They had to dress up in pink or red, the students separated into four different groups, and they had to try to get the arrow of love onto the center of the heart. Some people got really close to the center while others had a little bit of a struggle to get it close to the center of the circle.
