After her Grade 12 graduation in Canora 30 years ago, Melissa Spelchen returned with her unique mixture of her favourite songs and storytelling. “I never have a set list, I just sing what I’m feeling,” said Spelchen.
One of her first songs in Canora was dedicated to her mom and dad. “Dad would just sit and play guitar while us kids bounced around the house.”
She also dedicated a song to her teachers, some of whom were at the concert. “Shout out to all the educators, who definitely don’t get enough love."
