Community Spirit Sizzles at Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

KAMSACK — Local organizers expressed gratitude as the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper in Kamsack saw good attendance this year on Feb. 13. Rick Aikman, one of the key co-ordinators, extended thanks to all attendees, citing a successful turnout and positive feedback from attendees.

"I would like to thank everyone who came out. We feel that it went very well. We have had lots of good feedback. We think we had about 90 people," remarked Aikman.

The event, held at the United Church, welcomed community members eager to partake in the traditional pre-Lenten feast. As participants enjoyed their pancakes and engaged in conversation, the atmosphere buzzed with a sort of neighbourly spirit.

Tickets for the supper were priced at $10 each, contributing to the fundraising efforts for the Masonic Lodge, which will be used for “Masonic work within the community,” Aikman said.
