KAMSACK - On Feb. 11 the United Church Women (UCW) hosted a Valentine's Tea and Bake sale where cake, tea, and coffee were offered to the guests of the event, which attracted about 60 people. Various treats such as Scuffles, Nanaimo bars, Chocolate Pound cake, and pies were available for purchase. Raffles for gift baskets and other goodies were also available. It was estimated that $1,500 was raised in proceeds from the sale, which will go towards maintaining the church. Audrey Horkoff of the UCW spoke on behalf of the church and its members by saying, “The UCW would like to thank all the volunteers that came out to work and donate food and items, and in particular a big thank you to everyone who attended.”
