Sitting Councillor Darcy Zaharia has announced he will seek re-election this fall.

Yorkton RCMP

Officers from Yorkton RCMP are currently on scene of an ongoing investigation near Highway #16, approximately eight kilometers west of the community of Springside, Sk. A portion of Highway #16 has been blocked in relation to this investigation.

The Municipal Economic Enhancement Program (MEEP) is funding $2,348,953 worth of projects in Yorkton, but where is that money going? Yorkton MLA Greg Ottenbreit and Yorkton Mayor Bob Maloney announced where the money was going to go on Roslyn Ave.

Vern Brown has been presented with a Life Membership by the Yorkton Lions Club. Brown has been a member of the local club for the past 53-years. The presentation was made Monday.
