Officers learned a 15-year-old boy had pointed a firearm on school grounds and then had gone home.

SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested a 15-year-old boy after the report of a weapon on Thursday.

Police were called to a school in the 600 block of Acadia Drive at approximately 12:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a 15-year-old boy had pointed a firearm on school grounds and then had gone home.

Police went to the boy’s residence and he was arrested at the scene. The weapon was recovered and found to be a replica firearm. No injuries have been reported.

The 15-year-old faces charges of Assault with a Weapon, Use of a Weapon while Committing an Offense, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
