Bredenbury Council Notes

Met with the electrician to get an update of how he is doing with the wiring in the old school

On a showery and wet Tuesday, May 26th evening, the Town of Bredenbury had its regularly scheduled meeting in a not so regular setting. Rather than meeting in the council chambers, the council met next door at the Bredenbury Community Hall to maintain social distancing.

The Bredenbury Council met with the electrician to get an update of how he is doing with the wiring in the old school. The council is excited to get this old building repurposed and used to its fullest capabilities.

After adopting the agenda and the minutes of the previous meeting, the council next accepted the financials.

The town foreman was present to discuss and answer any questions the council had. He informed the council that he had been able to refurbish the lagoon valve, saving approximately $1400.

The council had a lengthy discussion with the foreman about any questions or concerns regarding town maintenance and the departments work progress.

The council discussed a proposed Bredenbury Fire Hall layout in detail, which includes a room for the first responders and room for storage as well.

With the grant from the Credit Union, the Lions Club is buying a new slide to be installed into Lions Park. Also, a $5000 grant from the Credit Union will go toward the fire hall.

Just before the council adjourned their meeting, they discussed that there will be $10,000 spent to fill the cracks and for paving in town.
