Four people charged with a home invasion appear in Saskatoon court

Heather Peequaquat, Jordan Gamble, Carolyn Sutherland, Twyla Ahpay, and Gerek Slippery are accused of a targeted home invasion

SASKATOON – Four people charged with a targeted home invasion were back in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

Heather Rene Peequaquat, Jordan Gamble, Carolyn Jean Marie Sutherland, and Twyla River Angel Ahpay had appearances Dec. 21 and their matters were adjourned to Jan. 11, 2022. Gerek George Slippery failed to appear in October and a bench warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Peequaquat was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant earlier this year for being unlawfully at large.

All five are charged with unlawful confinement and aggravated assault in relation to an incident last year. Saskatoon Police say they responded to a report of a 26-year-old man being held against his will and assaulted at a house in the 400 block of Avenue G South in August 2020. Police say this was a targeted incident.

The charges against Peequaquat, Sutherland, Gamble, Ahpay, and Slippery haven’t been proven in court.
