SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Police Service responded to multiple collisions on Thursday as icy road conditions remain on the city’s streets and highways.

The SPS is reminding motorists to drive safely on the road, especially during the rush hour traffic. SPS officers answered calls this evening alone.

Collisions happened near Zimmerman Road and Highway 16, Attridge Drive and Central Avenue, and Clarence Avenue South and Circle Drive South.

Traffic restrictions and delays in these areas are ongoing and the SPS reminds drivers to use caution and slow down when approaching emergency vehicles.

When out on the roads this evening motorists should slow down, allow for extra driving time, and practice extra stopping distance when approaching intersections and other vehicles.

If you see a collision or need assistance out on the road, please call SPS at 306-975-8300 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
