Incident in Humboldt parking lot results in several charges

On June 8 2020 at approximately 6:45 p.m. Humboldt RCMP responded to a complaint at a grocery store parking lot off Highway 5 west in Humboldt.

As RCMP members were conducting a traffic stop, the lone male driver fled the scene in his vehicle, striking a parked car in the process. The male fled at a high rate of speed and eventually left Humboldt eastbound.

The subject was later located and arrested by Canora RCMP and was remanded into custody to appear on several new charges.

31 year old Garnet Pinske of Preeceville, SK will make his first appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on Wednesday June 10 2020 and is facing the following criminal code charges:

Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle- S. 320.13(1)
Flight while being Pursued by Police- S. 320.17
Resisting Arrest/Obstruction- S. 129(a) (2 counts)
Failure to Stop After Accident- S. 320.16(1)
Fail to Comply with Undertaking- S. 145(4)(a)

Pinkse also had a warrant out for his arrest from Canora RCMP and will appear on those charges as well.

The parked car involved sustained minor damage and was unoccupied at the time of this incident, and no one was injured as a result of this incident.

Humboldt RCMP are seeking any video that the public may have obtained of this incident.
