On July 11, 2019, North Battleford RCMP and the RCMP Major Crime Unit were conducting a ground search in a rural area outside of North Battleford in relation to an ongoing investigation. During the search, a police dog with the North Battleford RCMP Police Dog Services Unit discovered human remains.
A forensic autopsy must be completed before the remains can be identified. The autopsy will be conducted next week by the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.
The investigation remains ongoing.
