Police arrest women on robbery charges

Two women face a number of charges after a robbery

SASKATOON—Two women are in custody after a robbery, in which a vehicle was stolen, led to both suspects attempting to evade police.

On Monday, Nov. 8, two women threatened a female with a weapon in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue North. The female suspects then stole her vehicle.

Saskatoon Police Service officers, on Friday, spotted the vehicle and attempted to pull it over near the intersection of Jamieson Street and Avenue C North.

Officers report the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed and failed to stop.

The vehicle was found abandoned in the 200 block of McMillan Avenue, where a 31-year-old woman and a 26-year-old female were arrested.

The 26-year-old woman faces charges of Robbery, Evading Police and Breach of a Court Order

The 31-year-old woman faces charges of Robbery, Evading Police, Operating a Vehicle While Prohibited, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
