UPDATE: Suspicious package in Downtown

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Police Service cleared the 200 block of 21st Street East and lifted the traffic restrictions that were put in place after a suspicious package was found earlier in Downtown.

Just before noon on Tuesday, SPS received a call regarding a suspicious package located in a building in the said area.

Members of the Explosive Disposal Unit have responded to the scene and continue to investigate alongside patrol officers.

Upon further investigation, it was determined the package, a toolbox, did not contain anything hazardous or dangerous. 

Police wish to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the investigation was ongoing.
