Rosetown area woman dies in collision

A car and a semi collided in an intersection, resulting in the death of the driver of the car.

ROSETOWN — A Rosetown woman has been killed in a vehicle collision.

On June 28 at approximately 8 a.m., Rosetown RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway 7 at the intersection with Marshall Avenue, approximately one kilometre east of Rosetown.

Investigation has determined that a car and a semi collided in the intersection. The driver of the car, a 21-year-old female from the Rosetown area, was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. Her family has been notified.

The driver of the semi did not report any injuries. Neither vehicle had passengers.

Highway 7 was closed during initial investigation but has since re-opened.
