A grass fire went out of control on the weekend in the Tiny – Burgis Beach area.
The fire necessitated the evacuation of Burgis Beach residents Sunday.
Water bombers have been brought into to deal with the fire which is being spread in-part by the strong winds.
Fire departments from Canora, Ebenezer and Rhein have been on scene.
The Yorkton Fire Department has issued a public warning citing the high winds and current situations around the province. As a result Yorkton has implemented a fire ban for Yorkton and the surrounding rural municipalities of Wallace and Orkney. No burning of any kind is permitted during this time.
