Saskatoon to celebrate Citizens’ Decoration Day on June 5

Members of the public are welcome to join in the parade and the service is at 2 p.m.

SASKATOON — Saskatoon residents are invited to join the Citizens’ Decoration Day on June 5, Sunday at the Soldiers’ Cairn located at the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Citizens’ Decoration Day is an annual event that provides citizens the opportunity to pay tribute to those brave soldiers who lost their lives in the service of our country.

The day will begin with a parade at 1:30 p.m. that includes Legion members, ANAVET members and members of the Armed Forces.

The parade will start from the Woodlawn Cemetery Office gate (north end of Memorial Avenue) and will proceed into the cemetery shortly thereafter.

Members of the public are welcome to join in the parade and the service is at 2 p.m.
