Saskatoon - Woman in critical condition after being hit by train

SASKATOON —Saskatoon Police Service says a 39-year-old woman was transported to hospital and is in critical but stable condition after a train-pedestrian collision May 12.

The collision occurred at 33rd Street and Circle Drive in the late evening of Thursday. Motorists and the public were asked to avoid the area due to traffic restrictions. 33rd Street westbound traffic was diverted from 33rd Street onto Edmonton Avenue and 33rd Street eastbound traffic was diverted onto the northbound Circle Drive offramp.

At 2:48 a.m. Friday, SPS issued a release saying trafic restrictions had been lifted, thanking the public for their co-operation.
