SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Fire Department is reminding motorists to be careful driving and to stay safe, following a three-vehicle collision early this morning.

Snow showers blanketed the city early Wednesday with up to 12 centimetres expected.

The motor vehicle accident happened at Circle Drive and College Drive. Three cars were involved.

SFD responded by sending a fire engine, a rescue unit, and the Battalion Chief after the report was made.

SFD crews arrived on the scene of the accident at around 7:44 a.m. Upon arrival, they found one occupant who needed extrication.

The occupant of one of the vehicles was extricated without the use of a hydraulic cutting tool and only suffered minor injuries.

Fire crews then cleaned up the fluids that had leaked from all three vehicles and after making sure the scene was safe, returned to their stations.

The Saskatoon Police Service took over the scene to conduct further investigation.
