On July 22, at approximately 2:00 pm, the Indian Head RCMP were dispatched to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 1 and 56 at Indian Head.
The collision involved two vehicles and five occupants in total.
Indian Head EMS, Fort Quappelle EMS and the Indian Head Fire Department were also dispatched and assisted with the treatment of the involved people.
STARS Air Ambulance from Regina were dispatched to the scene and one occupant was flown to the hospital in Regina.
Two occupants were treated locally at the hospital in Indian Head and another two were transported to hospital in Regina for treatment.
The westbound lanes of Highway 1 are currently blocked but traffic is being rerouted around the immediate area.
The Indian Head RCMP are investigating the collision and are being assisted by an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist from Weyburn.
There has been no determination on charges at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
