Update: Youth on scooter involved in collision dies of injuries - Saskatoon

Saskatoon Police Service blocked the 600 block of 33rd Street West from Avenues F through H after a collision involving a kid on a scooter.

SASKATOON - Update Thursday 12:47 p.m.: Saskatoon Police Service has reported the nine-year-old female victim of a traffic collision was pronounced deceased after arriving at hospital this morning.  

Members of the Collision Analyst Unit remain at the scene of the collision which involved a truck and the youth who was on a scooter at the time.  Traffic restrictions are expected to remain in place through the commute after work today. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Background Thursday 9:45 a.m.: Saskatoon Police are on the scene of a collision involving a youth on a scooter and a vehicle in the 600 block of 33rd Street West.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area as both directions of travel will be restricted from Avenues F through H. 

The collision occurred at approximately 9 a.m. The female victim has been transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services with what are believed to be serious injuries.
