Atom Black Cobras win two and lose two

They defeated the Preeceville Pats 10-3 on Canora Minor Hockey Day on January 28 with five goals and two assists by Taye Shukin, four goals by Chase Hembling (AP), one goal by Keegan Dyck, two assists by Ty Sleeva and single assists Briel Beblow and Brody Gulka.

The Atom Black Cobras then travelled to Theodore to challenge The Yorkton Richardson Terriers, coming home with a 6-5 loss.  Goals were scored by Taye Shukin (two), Briel Beblow (two) and Chase Hembling (AP), while Ty Sleeva had two assists.

On February 5, the Black Cobras took on Yorkton UCT Terriers and suffered another 6-5 loss. Goals came from Taye Shukin (two), Kade Rubletz, who also had an, Chase Hembling (AP) and Alaina Roebuck. Briel Beblow had an assist.

On February 10 the Black Cobras pulled off a 4-3 victory on home ice over the Yorkton Deneschuk Home Terriers.  Goals were scored by Taye Shukin (three) with one assist and Chase Hembling (AP).

The North A Playoffs have very evenly matched teams that have been providing great entertainment to all who have attended games, said Genevieve Shukin, a parent.

The Atom Black Cobras were to play on Saturday at the Canora Civic Centre against the Melville Maniacs.
