The Yorkton E & S Yankees beat the previously undefeated Yorkton Alexander's Jr. Cardinals 7-6 in South East Senior Baseball League (SESBL) action. Darren Wandy earned the complete game win with Matt Totte taking the loss for the Junior Cardinals.
The Cardinals outhit the Yankees 9-5 and each team had five strikeouts. Yankee runs were scored by Mackenzie Unyi, Ryan Neal, Dwayne Wandy, Derek Kohut, and Garrett Karcha with one run each while Eric Tutossi scored twice and drove in two. Single RBI's were added by Dwayne Wandy, Derek Kohut, Kurtis Chupa and Mackenzie Unyi.
Cardinal runs were scored by Logan Calanchie, Dane Kobylko, Mark Jacobs and Scott Sharp with one each while Dalane Lamb added two. Calanchie had two RBI's with Kobylko andDaniel Lamb had one each. On June 16, the extremely shorthanded Yankees were drubbed 13-3 by the Parkland Padres. Derek Good took the loss for the Yankees while Chris Wyatt earned the win. Yankee runs were scored by Mackenzie Unyi, Jayden Shwaga and Ryan Neal. Unyi also had one RBI.
