Saturday afternoon was the day of the Rider Pa-ride (not a typo) held on Broadway St., to help celebrate Rider pride in Yorkton. Nine-year-old Auston Roberts was among the hundreds of spectators at the first-ever Saskatchewan Roughrider parade. Roberts got a chance to meet the football club's mascot, Gainer the Gopher and was one of the only ones at the parade wearing a Saskatchewan Roughrider hockey jersey. The shirt was borrowed from a his grandmother and was found at a mall in Regina. See next week's Yorkton This Week for a full photo collage of the largely successful Pa-ride.
