Kambusters Drag Race Association hosted the 2016 Prairie Thunder Drag Race Challenge XIII Sunday at the Yorkton Municipal Airport. Gates opened early at 9 am for spectators to watch the time trials. The Elimination rounds began in the early afternoon, along with the much anticipated Jet cars. Car enthusiasts from Alberta and Manitoba came into Yorkton for the weekend, participating in not only the Drag Races, but in the car shows around the city as well as Cruise Night on Friday evening. So many families made it out to the races that traffic in the city was left at a trickle.
