The Harvest will play the Saskatoon Contacts in the first round of the playoffs but the scheduled hasn't been made up yet.

The teams were decided late over the weekend and Graham Garrett, head coach of the Harvest sees it as a good opportunity for the team to move forward, his second season as team coach.

"It's a great opportunity...all it takes is a couple guys," he said following his team's last game of the regular season against the Notre Dame Argos.

The Harvest lost both games of the final weekend homestand but all focus now is on the season that matters most-the post season.

Garrett said he is looking forward to the start, which should be later this week.

"We have had some good games with them this season."

The opening round, which is scheduled to start later this week, will be a best-of-five round, the first team to three wins advances, and the team seems to like their chances.

"We've had their number all season," says Dustin Skilliter, Harvest captain.

"We might have some different systems in place, but we're definitely excited." Yorkton lost both games of the weekend matchup with the Notre Dame Argos.

Skilliter says nobody is thinking about that now that they know their opponent for the first round. The Harvest lost a close game Saturday, 4-3, and then gave up two more goals Sunday in a 6-3 loss."Well, we wanted to win," said Skilliter following Sunday's loss, but added that the playoff round is another whole "new season".
