Live professional wrestling will be coming to Yorkton on Friday, Sept. 2.
High Impact Wrestling presents The Kings of Destruction starting at 8:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart High School.
Mike Roberts, the owner of High Impact Wrestling, said there will be excitement featured that can only be found in a high impact ring.
“There will be hard-hitting, high-flying action,” Roberts said. “The best talent in the country.”
The event will feature between 14-16 wrestlers.
Although he’s retired as a wrestler, Roberts said the emotions for fighters leading up to an event are mixed.
“You get butterflies, and if you don’t get butterflies then you should hang up your boots. The crowds come out and you want to do well, so you’re nervous and excited,” Roberts said.
High Impact Wrestling hasn’t been in Yorkton since 2012, when it used to be a monthly stop on the HIW schedule. Roberts said he hopes the excitement is the same as it used to be.
“We’d love to see Yorkton come out,” he said. “We used to come there monthly and people really got out to see us. There were friends and family there, and we’re looking forward to seeing them all again.”
Tickets for the event can be purchased at Precious Therapies Vitamin Store, or online at hiwcanada.com.
