Powerplay goals aplenty in Saturday's SJHL action in Yorkton

YORKTON - After a 4-2 win in Estevan Friday, the Yorkton Terriers hosted the Bruins Saturday.

The Bruins took only 1:18 into the second period to tie the game 1-1. Ilia Chmelevski was the goal scorer.

And then the Terriers wheels fell off for a time.

Alex Allard gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead with a powerplay effort at 6:01.

Forty-six seconds later it was 3-1 as Chmelevski scored a powerplay efforts.

It took 1:01 more and Keagon Little put a third-straight powerplay goal for the Bruins to extend the lead to 4-1.

The Terriers got back on track using their own powerplay for the second goal of the game by Renas. It came at 9:10.

Renas was back for his third of the night at 11:03 to make it a 4-3 contest.

Little would score his second of the contest at 13:59 to make it 5-3 through 40-minutes of play.

In the third Cade Kennedy scored an unassisted marker at 8:14 of the final frame to make it 6-3, and a powerplay goal by Chmelevski to complete a hat trick 12:30 made it 7-3.

Jye Zawatsky added a powerplay effort at 13:59 finalized the score at 7-4 in favour of the visitors.

Ethan Farrow was in net for the Terriers to start facing 48-shots before being relieved by Adam Kelly with 6:11 remaining.

Jackson Miler was the Bruin netminder facing 35-shots.
