Preeceville youth crowned triple gold medallist

Willen Paligan of Preeceville won three gold medals at the 2015 TCU (Teachers’ Credit Union) Financial Saskatchewan Provincial Championships in Regina on June 12 to 14.

Scouted by the Yorkton Track Club, Paligan he was invited to participate in the provincial championships. He won a gold in the bantam boys 80-metre dash with a time of 10.98 seconds; a gold in the long jump with Preeceville youth crowned triple gold medallist

Willen Paligan of Preeceville won gold medals in three events at the provincial championships in Regina on June 12 to 14.  a distance of 4.7 metres, and a gold in high jump with a height of 1.5 metres.

“He is only 13 years old and would have qualified for the Canada Games but he is too young this year,” said his uncle, Dave Knihniski.

“We are very proud of him and all of his accomplishments.” Brianna Antonichuk of Preeceville was also invited by the Yorkton Track Club to participate in the provincial championships.
