SCHS runners do well at Cherrydale

The members of the Sturgis Composite High School cross-country team did well at the Cherrydale Cross-Country Meet held in Yorkton on September 9.

Members of the Sturgis Composite High School cross-country team had fun and won some medals at the Cherrydale Cross-Country meet held in Yorkton on September 9. The members of the Sturgis Composite High School cross-country team did well at the Cherrydale Cross-Country Meet held in Yorkton on September 9.

Members of the team have been practicing at noon hour every day under the guidance of coach Brad Cameron.

Shanae Olson brought home a gold medal for finishing first in the peewee girls division. Other top-10 finishers were: Zane Bayer, bantam boys; Jalen Bayer, midget boys; Bo Babiuk and Cole Kowalchuk, junior boys; and Rhianna Olson, senior girls.

Other team members included: Denzel Vargas, Ray-anne Westermann, Allison Peterson, Daniell Mirva, Shae Peterson, Camron Secundiak, Paige Hansen, Keannu Albarracin and Leaj Voran.
