Golfers can still reserve their spots in Parkland College’s upcoming Dollars for Scholars Golf Classic. The 11th annual scholarship fundraising event takes place Friday, June 24 at Deer Park Golf Course in Yorkton. It begins with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.

“This is a great opportunity for golfers of all skill levels to take part in a fun event for a good cause,” said Dollars for Scholars chairperson Brendan Wagner.

Golfers can sign up individually for $100 or as a four-person team for $400. Entry fees include 18 holes of golf, power cart rental, and a barbecue steak supper after the event. There will also be door prizes and opportunities to participate in chipping and putting contests and a silent auction.

All proceeds from the Dollars for Scholars Golf Classic go to Parkland College’s student scholarship fund. Every dollar is converted into scholarships for students enrolled in a variety of post-secondary programs at the College. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, community groups, and individuals, the 2015 Dollars for Scholars Golf Classic raised over $26,000.
