Yellowhead International Speedway hosted another day of stock car races on Sunday, August 28th.
Although the day was threatened with periods of rain in the early afternoon, the races were able to proceed shortly after 2:00 p.m., and a large crowd gathered to watch the excitement.

After his victory lap, Marty Sharp paused to talk about his win.
“It was pure luck,” he joked. “But the track is really good right now. It’s a lot of fun.”
Denis Perron addressed his car and getting it back into racing shape after some roadblocks.
“It took a lot of long hours to get it back where it should be. But now, we should be okay,” he said.
The next event is the annual demo derby on Sept. 18 at 2:00 p.m.
The next and final race day is on Sept. 25 @ 2:00 p.m.
