The Saskatchewan Twilite Baseball Championships (for players age 35, and older), was hosted at diamonds in Yorkton and Melville over the weekend. The event attracted 27 teams from across the province. Dinsmore would top the ‘C’ side after defeating the local Yorkton Black Sox in a ‘C’ side semi-final, with Wawota taking the ‘B’ side. The rains would play a role in the ‘A’ side final, raining the game out after only three innings, leaving the Yorkton Orioles who went 4-0 on the weekend including defeating the Yorkton Padres in an ‘A’ semi-final weekend, and Birsay to be declared co-winners for 2016.
