Yorkton was up 3-0 but Tisdale battled back to tie the game.

YORKTON - Sixty-minutes would not be enough time to determine a Saskatchewan Male U18 'AAA' Hockey League game in Yorkton Friday.

Kierin Osberg gave the host Yorkton Maulers a 1-0 lead over visiting Tisdale at 7:15 of the first period. It would be the only goal of the frame.

A powerplay effort by Sam Cristo 15 3:02 into the second stanza extended the Mauler lead to 2-0 on the Westland Insurance Arena ice.

It was 3-0 when Alex Morrison scored at 7:35.

Tisdale finally found the twine with one second left in the period, a short-handed and unassisted effort by Carter Geysen.

It was another short-handed, unassisted effort by Trojan Jaxon Kehrig six seconds into the third period that brought the Trojans to within one at 3-2.

Tisdale completed their comeback with a powerplay goal from Dayton Reschny at 11:57.

The 3-3 held through the remainder of regulation time and it was off to extra time.

Again it was a special team’s effort, this time a powerplay goal that would prove the game winner. It came from the stick of Mauler Osberg at 1:13 with his second of the night.

Wyatt Bouvier was in net for Yorkton facing 40-shots for the win, while Tisdale’s Dylan Twidale faced 28 in the loss.
