The swimmers competed in a variety of events over the course of three days. Three Yorkton swimmers used the meet to post "A" times in several of their races. Jessica Sanftleben, Jennifer Haczkewicz and Jayden Lang have now qualified to compete at the Invitational Short Course "A" Provincial Championships in Prince Albert.

According to Benko, short course swim meets are held in pools that are 25 metres in length, just like Yorkton's pool. Coach Benko added that having three swimmers post "A" times is a great accomplishment for the young swimmers and is also great for the swim club.

Having Yorkton swimmers qualify for a meet of this calibre shows that all of the work the athletes are doing in the pool is paying off.

The recent Regina meet was one of the season's largest events with over 500 swimmers taking part. While the aforementioned three young ladies used the meet as a stepping stone to the invitational provincial meet, Yorkton swimmers also shone at this meet in various other events recording nine top ten finishes by meet's end.

Jacob Baker, who competed in the 10 and under category, lead the way finishing fourth in the 100m Breaststroke, eighth in the 100m Freestyle (Free), and 10th in the 200m Free.

Gabe Loster, who also competed in the 10 and under category registered a top 10 finish placing fourth in the 200m breaststroke. Auston Roberts, age 10, placed seventh in the 200m Backstroke. Jillian Just and Jayden Lang, who both competed in the 11 and 12 year old girls category finished seventh in the 50m backstroke, and 100m butterfly, respectively.

Jessica Sanftleben aged 16, finished eighth in the 400m Individual Medley and ninth in the 100m Butterfly to round out the club's top 10 performers.
