YORKTON - The Yorkton Terriers coffers are better off today thanks to a donation by the team’s alumni group.

The group donated $10,000 to the club during the Friday evening game at the Westland Insurance Arena when the SJHL Terriers hosted Melville.

The alumni group’s yearly financial contributions to the club helps off-set costs during the season including road meals and other expenses through the season.

The alumni group had also donated $10,000 donated to the team’s dressing room renovations in August.

Since 2018 they have made donations totalling over $55,000.

The Terrier Alumni Group was formed in 2018 to help reconnect former players with the current club and to help raise funds to support the Terriers each year.

On Sept. 23, they held their fifth Annual Par 3 Golf Tournament. The event saw 128 golfers attend, with approximately 45 golfers being former players.
