Yorkton Terriers drop fourth straight game

The loss drops the Terrier record to 8-14-1-1 and 18 points for fourth spot in the Viterra Division.

YORKTON -  The Yorkton Terriers are on a four-game losing streak.

The most recent loss came Tuesday as the SJHL team hosted Nipawin at the Westland Insurance Arena.

The Hawks started off things on the right skate with the only two goals of the first period.

Finley Radloff struck first with a goal at 13:03, with Artem Hrabovetsky adding the second at 15:43.

The Hawks accounted for the only goal of the second period too, Radloff scoring his second of the contest at 7:59.

The third period was a wild one offensively.

Anthony Domina put the home side on the board at 5:43, with Anthony McIntosh popping one on the powerplay at 7:58 to put the Terriers back in the hunt for a win.

The Hawks however ended the Terrier comeback as Jacob Michelson at 10:14 and Radloff completing a hat trick night at 16:09 made it 5-2.

McIntosh scored on the powerplay at 17:04 to make it 5-3 to give the Terriers some hope.

But an empty netter by Braxton Buckberger at 18:55 ended things in a 6-3 win for the Hawks.

Damon Cunningham took the win in the Nipawin net facing 26-shots.

Adam Kelly took the loss in the Terrier goal facing 24.

The loss drops the Terrier record to 8-14-1-1 and 18 points for fourth spot in the Viterra Division.

The Terriers head north next to face Flin Flon Friday and LaRonge Saturday.
