Yorkton Terriers end losing streak with road win

YORKTON -  The Yorkton Terriers were in Estevan for SJHL action Wednesday where they gave themselves an early Christmas gift – a win which ended an eight game losing streak.

The Terriers struck first with Anthony Domina finding the twine behind Bruin goaltender Cam Hrdlicka only 36 seconds into the game.

Cade Kennedy, recently traded from the Terriers to the Bruins, tied the game for Estevan at 7:03.

At 11:05 Dylan Ruptash scored for the Terriers to make it 2-1 headed to the second period.

In the second period the teams traded goals, Tyson Perkins for Yorkton at 5:07, and Ilia Chmelevski responded with a powerplay goal for the host Bruins.

In the third the Terriers pulled away with Domina scoring his second of the contest at 16:49, and Cooper Algajer added the Terrier’s fifth goal – an empty netter – at 17:42.

Ethan Farrow faced 31 shots in the Terrier nets for the win, with Hrdlicka facing 39 for Estevan in the loss.
