As a former resident of Kamsack I thought I would write to you and see if the Kamsack Times might be interested in doing a series of articles on the graduating classes of the Kamsack Collegiate Institute. I would love to know what happened to all those wonderful people that I went to high school with.
Recently my sister Maureen Zerr sent me a number of old photographs and memorabilia from my home town days, including the program for the graduating class of 1967 in which I am included. As I read the names at my age (72) I can't believe how much time has passed. I also think of those incredible people who I went to school with in Kamsack who made me who I am today. If I achieved any success it is because of the great teachers, wonderful friends and the great community in which I lived and grew up.
An article on my graduating class for example would be a wonderful gift as I have never forgotten these students and I would be very happy to know what happened to them after they graduated. Sadly, some of the students are deceased but they will always be a part of my memory of those great days growing up in Kamsack. We are all connected to each other no matter what path we follow. I am always proud to tell people that I am from Kamsack and I have never forgotten those wonderful years of my adolescence.
So many lives touched by so many people.
PS- Today I reside in Ottawa where for the past twenty years. I have been a professor of criminology at Carleton University.
