Dear Editor:
I live on Assiniboia Ave. and our latest flood was very reminiscent of the 2010 flood. If it hadn’t been for two people keeping the drain open at the bottom of our street, we would have been flooded. I had thought it was city workers but found out later that it was neighbors who faithfully worked at that drain for several hours.
It seems to me that if the street cleaner came around more frequently, we wouldn’t have so much debris from the trees clogging up the drain every time it rains.
And, if there is a known problem area when it rains, perhaps some city workers could check out those particular areas.
