SIGN says thanks for recent help

Dear Editor, On behalf of the Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbors (SIGN), I would like to thank our community members and community agencies for showing interest in our Organization and for participating in our recent Feasibility Study.

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbors (SIGN), I would like to thank our community members and community agencies for showing interest in our Organization and for participating in our recent Feasibility Study. Your input is appreciated and will help direct our plans for the future. SIGN recognizes and values the community leadership and sees the community as a valuable partner.

The community input through the Feasibility Study has provided many lessons and directions for SIGN moving forward. We have learned that we need to develop a strong communications strategy to ensure we are able to inform the public and our partners of the valuable programming offered. We have also learned that the community has a lot of respect for SIGN and the services that are provided. The credibility of our Organization is something that we will commit to continue to build on in the future.

Throughout the course of the study, a common theme of appreciation was expressed by partners, towards SIGN’s efforts to address the issues of Yorkton’s citizens in need. More specifically, there was recognition that through SIGN, those experiencing measures of poverty and homelessness; children, youth, families and seniors; and people with physical or mental incapacities were better cared for.

I sincerely want to thank the community members involved for the time they gave to this study and the valuable feedback they provided.

At SIGN, we understand that it takes a community to come together to make a lasting and positive impact on individuals and families. SIGN’s Vision states “We see citizens of Yorkton and area who are caring and self-reliant, residing in safe and stable communities where all citizens can participate.

We see a community initiating and supporting social, economic, cultural and recreational opportunities for all”.

We anticipate that in the future, with the community’s ongoing support, participation and input, this vision will become a reality.

I look forward to our continued work together.

Andrew Sedley, Executive Director
