STURGIS — The Sturgis Composite High School class of 1995 held a small reunion along the Assiniboine River at the Sturgis Park on Aug. 23.
There were 42 class members in the 1995 graduating class, but only 10 were available for a get-together. Heather and Greg Gawrelitza hosted a hot-dog roast supper down by the river in Sturgis.
“Life seems so busy; it was hard to pick a date,” said Gawrelitza. “Our class has been lucky to have had our 10 and 20-year reunions, and we will continue to get together every 10 years with whoever wants to join us. Memorial tributes were shared for classmates David Stefanyshyn and Melanie Dolton, who we have lost much too soon. Even though there were only 10 of us, there were still many memories shared and laughs around the fire. Many of us in attendance are from Sturgis, Preeceville and Rama, with others joining us from Melville, Saskatoon and Regina.”
