Terriers drop contest in 4 – 1 loss to Flin Flon Bombers

YORKTON - The Flin Flon Bombers were in town to take on the Terriers in some SJHL action Tuesday night.

The first period saw no goals with both teams failing to capitalize on their respective power plays.

Midway through the second, at 9:31, Flin Flon's Jaxon Martens opened up the scoring, followed shortly after by teammate Jaeden Mercier at 11:46, and teammate Zak Smith with a powerplay goal at 15:22, ending the second period in a 3 – 0 lead for the visitors.  

Early in the third, at 1:27, Jaeden Mercier hit the target again, giving the Bombers a four goal lead.  Yorkton's Zach McIntyre scored the sole goal for the Terriers at 6:56 of the third making it 4 – 1 win for the visitors.  

Kael DePape was goal tending for Yorkton and made 16 saves.  

Cal Schell was in net for Flin Flon blocking 31 of the 32 shots.

The Terriers head to Melville on Friday to take on the Millionaires with the Estevan Bruins visiting Westland Arena on Saturday night for some more home town SJHL action.
