YORKTON – The new year has started out on a very happy note for two graduating members of the Yorkton Regional High School Raider Gridders football team.
Defensive back Owen Effa and linebacker Joey Palagian have both signed to play with the Regina Thunder in 2023.
Thunder coach Scott Macaulay was in Yorkton recently to officially sign the pair.
The Thunder compete in the Prairie Conference of the Canadian Junior Football League – ages 18-22.
In 2022 the Thunder won their conference.
