EAST-CENTRAL SASKATCHEWAN — An air quality warning has been issued Aug. 6 for east-central and parts of northeast Saskatchewan.
"Wildfire smoke has once again tracked into the region," states the warning from Environment Canada. "The smoke is expected to last at least into Friday [Aug. 8]."
People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution – including people aged 65 and older, infants and young children, pregnant women, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors – should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.
Communities within 81 RMs are affected.
