Yorkton AAA U15 Cardinals take pair from Swift Current

Yorkton's offence was hot in a pair of home games Saturday.

YORKTON - The Yorkton AAA U15 Cardinals hosted Swift Current Advantage Manufacturing AAA 15U 57’s for a doubleheader Saturday.

In game one at Jubilee Park the Cardinal offence dominated in a 10-4 win.

The offence included a home run swat by Theo Cleland.

Tyler Stewart was the pitcher of record for Yorkton, giving up seven hits and four runs (three of those earned), over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out six and walked three.

It was more of the same in game two as the Cardinals rolled up a 12-2 win.

Yorkton took control of the contest early with a seven-run first inning.

Kyler Bilokreli led the Yorkton offence with four fits, including a second inning home run, and a fifth inning double.

Judah Sarafincian was the winning pitcher. He allowed only two hits, and one run in five innings on the mound, while striking out eight, but walking five.

The Cardinals are in Regina Wednesday, June 12 to face the AAA U15 White Sox, then host the Saskatoon AAA U15 Expos for a pair Saturday, June 22, with starts at 12 and 3.
